The Sitka DEM covers the community of Sitka, Alaska, which is located in the Alexander Archipelago on Baranof Island. The DEM has a 3 arc-second (~90 meter) cell size, and is referenced to a vertical datum of mean high water. A smaller, 1/3 arc-second (~10 meter) DEM was also developed. The DEMs were built in July 2011 to support NOAA's Tsunami Program.
