Hawaii, HI 6 arc-second MLLW DEM

This DEM was developed by the NOAA Center for Tsunami Research, and does not have an associated DEM development report. The zip archive contains a medium-resolution (6 arc-second) grid covering all of the major Hawaiian islands. These are in ASCII raster grid format. Horizontal units are (-180 - +180) decimal degrees, WGS84 datum. Vertical units are meters above/below mean lower low water (MLLW). The grid is derived from a variety of data sources; see the enclosed graphic for an overview of which data sources were used, by area. The grid extent is (-161.0, 18.0) - (-154.0, 23.0). Grid development history: July 5 2005: Created July 6 2007: updated August 8 2007: Updated by mosaicing newly developed bathy/topo data for south Oahu, Lahaina/Kahului/Kihei, Maui. Lahaina- area data compiled by NGDC; other data by NCTR.
