1995 Atlantic Hurricanes

The 1995 Atlantic hurricane season was the second most active season in recorded history. During 1995, 12 named tropical cyclones formed in the Atlantic before the end of August, and by the end of the season 19 tropical cyclones had recieved names. 11 of the 19 reached hurricane strength. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from the beginning of June through the end of november with peak activity during August and September. The 1886 to 1994 seasonal average is 8.4 tropical storms with 4.9 reaching hurricane strength.
