gov.noaa.ngdc.mgg.geophysical_models:Magnetic_Field_Grid_Calculator20091201Magnetic Field Grid CalculatorThe Magnetic Field Properties Calculator will computes the estimated values of Earth's magnetic field(declination, inclination, vertical component, northerly component, easterly component, horizontal intensity, or total intensity), for a specific location, elevation and date or range of dates based on the current International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF). The calculated result is a grid that contains the calculated component and the annual change of the component over the geographical area specified. While results are typically accurate to 30 minutes of arc, users should be aware that solar storms can cause intense, short-term disturbances in the magnetic field. To aid the public in addition to the scientific community in visualizing how the magnetic field interacts with scientific and commercial endeavors in a specified area of interest, as well as other scenarios not yet thought up by the National Geophysical Data Center in Boulder, CO.1900010120141231UnknownasNeeded-18018090-90NASA/GCMD Science KeywordsEARTH SCIENCE > Solid Earth > Geomagnetism > Magnetic FieldEARTH SCIENCE > Solid Earth > Geomagnetism > Magnetic IntensityEARTH SCIENCE > Solid Earth > Geomagnetism > Magnetic DeclinationEARTH SCIENCE > Solid Earth > Geomagnetism > Magnetic InclinationNASA/GCMD Location KeywordsGeographic Region > GlobalNoneUse Limitation: While every effort has been made to ensure that these data are accurate and reliable within the limits of the current state of the art, NOAA cannot assume liability for any damages caused by any errors or omissions in the data, nor as a result of the failure of the data to function on a particular system.
