        abstract:  These data were collected by the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration National Geodetic Survey Remote Sensing Division using an OPTECH ALTM system on June 8, 2008. The data includes topographic data in an LAS format file. The NOAA Coastal Services Center (CSC) processed the data to bare earth (class 2) and water points classified (class 9). An automated filter was used, followed by semi-manual classification and bridge removal.
        purpose:  This lidar was acquired by the NOAA Remote Sensing Division to support NOAA's IOCM (Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping) initiative. It is not intended for mapping, charting or navigation. In addition, it will be used for ongoing research efforts for testing and developing standards for airborne lidar.
