1 Ovation Prime Real-Time The Ovation Prime Real-Time (OPRT) product is a real-time forecast and nowcast model of auroral power and is an operational implementation of the work by Newell et al (2009). OPRT is run every 5 minutes producing precipitating energy flux for 4 distinct auroral types in 240 distinct geomagnetic latitude / longitude bins for each hemisphere. The model's output is latitudinally bound to polar latitudes greater than 50 degrees geomagnetic latitude.
