spaceEnvironmentModeling
browse graphicCollection includes presentation materials and outputs from operational space environment models produced by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) and other related model datasets. Included are; 1) regional space environment specifications of the atmospheric total electon content (TEC) for the continental United States (CONUS), 2) global specifications of ionospheric D-region (radio-wave) absorption and 3) interplanetary solar-wind specifications for predicting the propagation and arrival times of geoeffective coronal mass ejections (CME). Also included is a 30-year space environment climatogy producted by the NOAA National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC).

The NOAA Solar and Terrestrial Physics (STP) division is responsible for the archive and access of solar and space environmental data and derived products collected by NOAA observing systems and acquired through the World Data Center for Solar and Terrestrial Physics (Boulder). Archives include extensive collections of data from solar observatories, ground ionospheric sounders, and satellites plus modeled space climatologies.
