        supplementalInformation:  The profiler has a steered antenna with about a 10 deg. beamwidth. It can be steered in three or five directions near the zenith. There is a transmitter that generates a 500 Watt pulse at 915 MHz and a receiver that detects returned energy scattered off clear air turbulence in the atmosphere. There is a PC with an internal timing card and DSP card to collect and record the data. The Antenna has a ground clutter fence and occupies a square about 12 feet on a side. the electronics must be within 100 feet of the antenna in an air conditioned shelter. There are four high power speakers that are pointed vertically used to measure the virtual temperature.
