This is Disc 1 of a two CD-ROM series. It presents Monthly Climatological
Data, derived from NOAA's Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer. The
data were produced by the Satellite Research Laboratory; Office of Research
and Applications; National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information
Service; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Disc 2 of this set contains selected data from Disc 1, registered
to NGDC's Global Change Data Base. It also contains many ancillary data
sets from the Global Change Data Base, including soils, topography,
vegetation, ecosystems, climatic and other data. These data can be
valuable in interdisciplinary applications of the AVHRR Climatologies.
