Description: Probably the latest stages of ignimbrite-like breccia generation. Glassy volcanic material is mixed with the host crustal rocks, but the host rocks are much less abundnt than for breccia of the earlier stages. Posible underwater eruption because of the obvious fast quenching of the lavas. However, glass stays fresh suggesting that the interaction with water was not very long. Could be phreatomagmatic eruption to wet sediments

Description: Aphanitic pillow basalt with visibly pronounced glassy rim which underwent secondary alterations toward being yellow clay. The thickness of the rind is about 2-3 cm. A sample is covered with black thin manganese crust, broken in places so the yellowish clayish substance is visible. Away from the contact the rock becomes fresher, but only relatively because a degree of alteration is strong.
