Comments: 350 lbs of vesicular and massive basalt fragments and volcanic sandstone fragments. Vesicular basalts - 100 lbs; rounded + angular fragments; 3 cm - 35 cm long; medium gray color; no Mn- coating; vesicularity varies from 5-25%; some reasonable fresh flows (pahoehoe). Massive basalts - 100 lbs; rounded to angular fragments, some resembling pillows; 3 cm - 35 cm long; medium gray color; 0-5% vesicles; no Mn coating. Volcanic sandstones + breccias = 150 lbs; angular and rounded cobbles and boulders; 3 cm - 60 cm long; some thinly Mn crusted (< 5 mm), others no Mn coating; typical light brown matrix with brown to reddish brown clasts of basalt (?) and other breccia fragments. 7 bags + 1 boulder.
