1 :
Weathering/Metamorphism: weathering - light
Comments: Sample Type: Ol-plg phyric basalt. Mineralogy: Plg+Ol. Weathering: Light. Glass condition: >50% fresh glass and Mn/Fe oxide coatingsGlass taken for probe. 61-1 and 61-2 subsampled by DG. Remainding glass to KJ. A bag of unnumbered glass and a bag of station glass are included. A small bag of unnumbered, untyped rocks is included. DG has 2 of the unnumbered glass chunks.Plagioclase+olivine-phyric pillow fragments and large chunks of glass. Few (0.8-1 cm) clots of plagioclase+olivine in interior whereas glass is plagioclase-phyric. Type 1 of 4 from this dredge.

Weathering/Metamorphism: weathering - light
Comments: Sample Type: Ol-plg phyric basalt. Mineralogy: Plg+Ol. Weathering: Light. Glass condition: Some palagonitized glass and Mn/Fe oxide61-4 glass subsampled for probe and by DG with remainder to KJ. KN subsampled whole rock (61-4). Three large unnumbered samples are also included.Mn encrusted sheet flows with little glass. Plagioclase+olivine glomerophyres present. Type 2 of 4.

Weathering/Metamorphism: weathering - light
Comments: Sample Type: Ol-plg phyric basalt. Mineralogy: Plg+Ol. Weathering: Light. Glass condition: Some palagonitized glass and Mn/Fe oxideAltered glass from 61-3 subsampled for probe and by DG with remainder to KJ. KN subsampled 61-3 and 61-5 whole rocks.Mn encrusted plagioclase+olivine-phyric pillow fragments. More plagioclase than previous types with rare olivine. 61-3 has a little very altered glass. Type 3 of 4.
4 :
Weathering/Metamorphism: weathering - moderate
Comments: Sample Type: indurated very fine tan-colored sandstone/siltstone . Mineralogy: . Weathering: Moderate. Glass condition: Notable Mn/Fe oxide coatingsDescription by inspection without hand lens.Indurated tan sandy mud with small and large worm burrows. May contain some volcanic ash. Largest piece has two subangular fragments (~3-5 mm) adjacent to each other. One is white; the other dark. Type 4 of 4.
