Lithology/Mineralogy: igneous (extrusive/volcanic), basalt
Comments: 55 kg of lava. Three types: 1) Most abundant, pillow fragments aphyric with glass showing varying preservation; 4 samples wrapped. 2) Generally large aphyric lava blocks, may be (1) with glass removed, or interior of same or another flow; none wrapped; put in one bucket. 3) Distintive lava, a few vesicles with rough irregular surfaces except where fractured; Both wrapped. 5 pails.
