S Pacific Ocean, South Line Islands. Chain bag dredge. Field description: hyaloclastite

Lithology/Mineralogy: igneous (extrusive/volcanic), hyaloclastites
Comments: 5 rocks recovered after a series of long hard bites. 3 rocks were fully Fe-Mn crust covered which upon slicing *** saw revealed crusts of 2-5 cm on hyaloclastite substrates. 1 boulder was Fe-Mn stain on weathered hyaloclastite and 1 rock consisted of hyaloclastite conglamerate with veins of Fe-Mn in cracks. Total weight of rocks ~45 lbs. all taken as hand specimens.
