The Natural Hazards Data Resources Directory has been made available online by NOAA's National Geophysical Data Center with funding from the Institute for Business and Home Safety.

The following organization provides Earthquake data for California.



California Department of Conservation

The California Department of Conservation, Division of Mines and Geology is California's Geological Survey. It offers a comprenhensive page with links to the pertinent information about earthquake-related agencies it works with. Publications on geology and seismology through the Division of Mines and Geology span from 1880 to the present and include: bulletins, special reports, special publications, preliminary reports, county reports, geologic maps, gravity maps, fault maps, map sheets, annual report of the State Geologist, Strong-Motion Instrumentation Program reports and data, earthquake planning scenarios, and California Geology magazine.

A very limited Division of Mines and Geology publications currently are available on-line. However, the DMG information number is (916) 445-5716, or inquiries regarding availability of publications and data may be submitted via email to dmglib@consrv.ca.gov California Geology magazine subscription is 6 issues for $12, 12 issues for $24, or 18 issues for $36.
