The Consortium of Universities for Research in Earthquake Engineering (CUREE) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1988 through the efforts of eight universities to efficiently coordinate their capabilities on earthquake research problems.

CUREE's purposes include:

  • identifying new ways research can solve earthquake problems
  • collecting and synthesizing information and making it easily accessible
  • establishing national and international hazard research relationships
  • performing earthquake engineering and related research
  • managing research consortia and cooperative programs
  • educating experts, practitioners, students, and the public

Publications available from CUREE include a newsletter that can be downloaded from their website, videos, posters, calendars, conference and symposia proceedings, and research program reports.
