The Office of Emergency Services Earthquake Program now does what the former Bay Area Regional Earthquake Preparedness Project (BAREPP) and the Southern California Earthquake Preparedness Project did. It is specifically charged with assisting local governments in California in reducing their structural and non-structural vulnerability to earthquakes. The resources maintained are documents and audio-visual materials on building retrofit, public awareness, emergency planning, and disaster response.

Hard copy, videotapes, slides, and audiotapes are available. Program information is also available on the OES webpage.

Publications are available to public and private organizations in the 16 county coastal region. Contact the Office of Emergency Services for a list of these Earthquake Program publications.
