The following organization provides Earthquake Education and Preparedness information.

Earthquake Education Center

The Earthquake Education Center maintains educational materials on earthquake history, causes and effects, and preparedness in the form of pamphlets, audio-visual aids, monographs, and bibliographic materials for schools (K-12 and post-secondary), hospitals, businesses, industries, life-line facilities, and special-needs groups (girl scouts, senior citizens, handicapped, and youth). The Center, located on the Charleston Southern University campus, provides data on South Carolina's seismic activity through a seismic-network partnership between the University of South Carolina and Charleston Southern University.

Hard copy monographs, teachers' packages, pamphlets and bibliographic materials are available. Audio-visual materials include: films, slides, slide shows, photographs, and video and audio cassettes, and are available upon request. Contact the Earthquake Education Center.
