The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, EERI, is a professional which publishes a wide variety of works on earthquake engineering, including technical monographs, 'Reconaissance Reports' on recent earthquakes, conference proceedings, seminar notes, white papers, professional fellowship reports, an oral history series, educational slide sets, CD-ROMs, and video tapes. Slide sets are on a variety of earthquake topics such as specific earthquakes, Earthquake Resistant Design, Dynamics of Structures, and Nonstructural Damage. The 'Reconnaissance Reports' are available on-line. Also, a monthly newsletter and a quarterly journal, Earthquake Spectra, are published for members.

EERI's mission is to reduce earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering by improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes. In 1984, EERI established Earthquake Spectra with the purpose of improving the practice of earthquake hazards mitigation, preparedness, and recovery. It is intended to serve the informational needs of the diverse professions engaged in earthquake hazards reduction --- civil, geotechnical, mechanical and structural engineers, geologists, seismologists, architects, city planners, public officials, social scientists, and researchers. The Journal serves as the publication of record for development of: earthquake engineering practice, earthquake code and regulation, earthquake public policy, and earthquake investigation reports. The Journal is published quarterly with no page charge to authors.

All orders must be prepaid. See the Publications Catalogue on the web site for all ordering information.
