The Pan American Institute of Geography & History maintains general geophysical information on solid earth geophysics, oceans and atmosphere, and solar terrestrial physics. The institute supports ongoing activities throughout all of the Americas and the Caribbean. Current interests include geophysical maps and hazards-related research. Within five years, the institute plans to have continental scale maps available for Latin America and the Caribbean in gravity, magnetics, and seismic risk.

Hard copy publications include Revista Geofisica, a journal appearing 2-3 times yearly.
