Data on diskette and CD-ROM, technical assistance, maps, and publications are available. Contact the center for a list of available products and data. The Historic Tsunami Digital Data Base consists of two files: the Event database and the Runup database. The event database contains information on over 2,000 tsunami events from 49 B.C. to the present. The database provides information such as the cause of the tsunami, the source location, the magnitude and intensity of the tsunami, etc. The runup database contains over 6,000 records that provide information on locations where tsunami effects occurred, including damage and deaths. These data are available online. The Tsunami Mareograms (1850-1983) or tsunamigrams on 35 mm microfiche contain tide gage records of tsunamis recorded at US tide stations including Alaska, Hawaii, South Pacific islands, and the coastal US. They contain a 5 day span of wave data with adequate gage quiet time.
