International teams of experts from various disciplines conduct scientific studies on environmental, economic, technological and social issues in the context of human dimensions of global change. The Institute is sponsored by National Member Organizations in North America, Europe and Asia. The website provides information about IIASA's programs, fellowships, and research projects, and contains extensive contact information and links to their international members and other organizations working on the issues of global change and sustainability. One example of an IIASA research program is the Transboundary Air Pollution Project which designs, generates, and applies air pollution models to develop cost-effective solutions that integrate technical, economic, physical, and ecological aspects of air pollution.
