HIC issues national flooding condition outlooks and prepares national summaries of hydrologic conditions, including river conditions, with emphasis on extreme events such as floods and anomalously low flows. Much of the data and information provided by the HIC is available via the website listed above. In addition, much of the forecast and other data is provided to the National Climatological Data Center and is available to researchers through that agency.
