The trunk of a living tree that was snapped off about three meters above the ground by the intense ground shaking. The tree was near the intersection of Stetson Road and Soquel-San Jose Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the vicinity of the epicenter. Image Credit: C. Stover.
