Introduction
The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) curates all cores obtained by the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) and the Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP). The IODP curation facilities are responsible for sample and data archiving and dissemination. This includes storing, archiving, and disseminating cores collected dDSDPng the course of the program.
Facilities
DSDP and ODP Cores are maintained at the Gulf coast repository, located at ODP/Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College State, TX, at the Bremen repository in Germany, and some ODP land samples are maintained at Rutgers University. Links to all repository web sites are available from the IODP curation web site above.
Sample Collection
The ODP permanent archives include samples from Legs 100-210 of the ODP. The DSDP permanent archives contain samples from Legs 1-96 of the DSDP.
