  Structure  : FINE-GRAINED BASALT TRAVERSED BY CALCITE VEINS;

  Alteration : FRESH
               FINE-GRAINED BASALT IS RELATIVELY FRESH,
               CRYPTOCRYSTALLINE BASALT IS WEATHERED MOD YELLOW
               BROWN;

  Comments   : HORIZONTAL CONTACT BETWEEN GLASS AND BASALT, FINE-
               GRAINED BASALT IS DARK GREENISH GRAY;

  Vesicles   : BASALT IS PERHAPS SLIGHTLY AMYGDULOIDAL;

  Replacement: CALCITE
               IN VEINS OF FINE-GRAINED BASALT;
