Globigerina falconensis Blow, 1959

This species (Fig. 9) has a distinct preference for physical conditions in subtropical regions. The plots against physical parameters tend to show normal distributions somewhat skewed towards higher values of sea surface temperatures and salinity in summer. Morphologically G. falconensis resembles G. bulloides and is differentiated only by the final chambers in the terminal stage. Despite this morphological similarity the relation of their relative abundances with physical parameters is remarkeably different.
