About the "QUAKES" files: Earthquake epicenters for M 5 and greater, 1980-1990

The two files "WORLDEQ.BIN" and "WORLDEQ.TXT" contain the same information
in two formats, ASCII and binary. The ASCII file is "WORLDEQ.TXT", and contains
epicentral latitude-longitude pairs for 14229 quakes for the period 1980-1990,
and magnitudes equal to or greater than 5.0. No magnitudes, depths or dates are
given; that information is available from the National Geophysical Data
Center (NOAA) Earthquake Data Base. The file "WORLDEQ.BIN" is included
for use with a Macintosh program elsewhere on this disc which plots the
quake locations on top of a shaded relief topographic image.

Latitude Longitude (degrees to 3 decimal places, +N lat, +E lon)
