Visualization and Browse Software

GeoVu, NGDC's data visualization and browse software, which is included on the CD, is not intended to replace more sophisticated tools. It was developed in the early 1990's to aid in the visualization of geophysical data, but due to rapid changes in computer operating systems, NGDC cannot ensure GeoVu will operate. As of December 2001, NGDC is no longer supporting GeoVu.

We also provide FreeForm, a flexible system for access and management of data using format description files. For more information, go to the FreeForm ftp site.
