GLOBE: A Gallery of High Resolution Images
Note: some of the high-resolution images below are LARGE. They are likely to load slowly if your Web connection is via a traditional phone line. In addition, you may have to set the cache (RAM and virtual memory) to higher values (200 MB for virtual memory is not too small). If your computer is a few years old, you don't have much RAM or free hard disk space, start with the images labelled "coarse" 40-arc-minute grid.

Images of the continents and other large areas (GLOBE elevations only). Some with Stable Lights (see above), others without. Some continents at full GLOBE resolution, others reduced as necessary to fit browser limitations (still, you may have to enlarge your browser's preference settings for memory and disk cache).
