NOS Hydrographic Survey Data
The NOS Hydrographic Survey Data map service was developed to give marine data users and the marine charting community a comprehensive, authoritative, and easily accessible tool for searching and downloading hydrographic data collected by NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS). Data products such as Descriptive Reports (NOS metadata documents), smooth sheets (accurate plots of verified or corrected data), survey data images, textual gridded data, and sidescan sonar mosaics are accessible at the survey level using this service. NGDC, being charged with the long-term archive of these data, hosts and maintains the NOS Hydrographic Survey Data map service in collaboration with the NOAA/NOS Office of Coast Survey (OCS).
