NOAA-18 reprocessing note

In June 2006 it was learned that the NOAA-18 Total Energy Detector (TED serial 
number 0013) calibration data that had been used in creating the NOAA-18 archive 
files was a preliminary version.  A final version of that calibration data set 
was obtained.  A comparison between the preliminary version that had been used 
and final version showed differences significant enough to warrant reprocessing 
of NOAA-18 data from June 7, 2005 to the present.

The reprocessed NOAA-18 archive files will have changes in TED energy flux 
values and many of the data quality flags from the original.  In addition, 
estimates of hemispheric power input, that are made using TED data, will have 
small changes from the original values.  However, all Medium Energy Proton and 
Electron Detector (MEPED), orbital, housekeeping, and status data remains 
unchanged between the new and original version of the NOAA-18 archive files.

Appendix C of the SEM-2 archive documentation has been updated to reflect the 
changes in the TED serial number 0013 calibration data.
