Steps to Search and Retrieve Data:

              - Choose one or more Data Types.
- Select a Date range (start and end dates).
- Select / deselect individual files from the results table.
- Enter your Email and select Request Data.
- You will receive a confirmation and download URL to retrieve your data.
            Dates
Date range over which a given file applies. Format is YYYYMMDDhhmmss (UTC). Start date/time is the beginning of the time period covered by the file, end date/time is the end of the time period covered by the file.

            ADVANCED - Processing Options
Access to Products/data which may not be science-quality (i.e. "use at your own risk"). This option is useful for time periods where the science-quality version of the Product/data is unavailable.

              -
                OE: Operational Environment Data
"Science-quality" data. Generated on the Production system, using a fully checked-out algorithm and inputs.
                Recommended

-
                OT: Operational Environment Test Data
Generated on the Production system, using algorithms and/or inputs which may not have been fully checked-out (Beta).
                Use at your own risk.

-
IE: Integration and Test Environment Data
Generated on the Development system, using an algorithm and inputs which pass all of the testing possible outside of the Production environment.
                Use at your own risk.

-
IT: Integration and Test Test Data
Generated on the Development system, using an algorithm and/or inputs which may not have been evaluated to the fullest extent possible on the Development system.
                Use at your own risk.

Most Recent / Available data
By default the system provides the algorithm which was produced using the most recent version of the most mature processing algorithm. By selecting
Advanced, users may obtain data generated from less mature (or past) versions of processing algorithms.

            Processing Dates
Identifies when the file was produced. If reprocessing is performed, this timestamp can identify the most correct data.

            Embargoed Data
Some data (e.g. Telemetry Database) fall under
ITAR/EAR restrictions or Non-Disclosure Agreements. If you need these data, and can provide proof that the data can be released to you, please contact
              William.Rowland@noaa.gov to make arrangements.
How Do I Open netCDF files?
Several options exist for the processing environment of your choice. Many programming languages include the necessary tools either as part of the standard installation or in standard libraries. Please see
              http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/software.html for a list of freely-available options.
