Description: Well-bedded peat, peaty sands, silts and silty carbonate muds in dm-thick fining upward sequences. We distinguish three subunits: the top subunits contain 4 dm-thick fining upward sequences from peaty sands to carbonate muds, the middle one is dominated by brown sand intervals and the sequences are thicker, the bottom one is composed of massive, dark brownish quartz sands with calcite.
