Comments: Sample Type: Pillow basalt_Aphyric basalt. Mineralogy: . Weathering: Fresh. Glass condition: >50% fresh glass. 3 buckets. Probe glass taken. Subsampled by DG. Remaining glass to KJ. Two bags of unnumbered type 1 pieces also included in buckets.Pillow fragments and tubes with aphyric glassy rinds up to ~0.5 cm thick having Fe/Mn oxide coating. Interiors are grey with orange staining. Rare microphenocrysts of plagioclase and olivine present in the glass. Type 1 (only type) from this dredge.
