Manus Basin
1 :
Comments: 22 rocks = 12 kg, including 2 small pumice, rest lava fragments. Lava is olivine plagioclase micro porphyritic basalt with holocrystalline (?) interiors. Glassy margins up to 3 cm thick mainly have brown palagonitized or Mn- coating. Several fragments have fracture surfaces coated with white stuff which is pretty hard but hardly pretty.
