The GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel made a one-time contribution to
the Index to Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) database of metadata
describing 2415 grabs and piston, gravity, vibrating, and box cores in their geological
sample repository collected during 82 cruises of multiple ships prior to 1994. GEOMAR
cores described in the IMLGS are primarily in the North Atlantic Ocean with additional
samples collected in the Mediterran Sea, and South Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. |
