November 1980 Campania, Italy Images
The magnitude 6.8 earthquake killed over 3,000, injured 7,750, and caused severe property
damage. An additional 1,575 were reported missing and presumed dead. 250,000 were
reported to be homeless. 25,000 square kilometers of southern Italy were devastated.
