NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) enhances the management of, and access to, ocean and coastal mapping (OCM) data in the region impacted by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012, including NOS hydrographic surveys, multibeam and single-beam (trackline) bathymetry, and coastal lidar. This effort includes standardizing and automating NCEI's ingest and archive system, and developing improved web-based discovery, refined data-selection capabilities, and integrated, bundled delivery of user-requested OCM data. This effort is funded under the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013, also known as Hurricane Sandy Supplemental.
