The 30th anniversary meeting of the Curators of Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples was hosted by NGDC and held September 24-26, 2007 at the Aspen Lodge between Boulder and Estes Park, Colorado.

Presentations, photographs, and meeting minutes are now available on this web site.

We were fortunate to have a new participating curator from Australia. We also had two new curators from the USGS Denver Core Research Center, and a guest speaker from the USGS National Ice Core Repository in Denver. The group toured both the Denver repositories.

Additional guest speakers included Bob Arko of LDEO on Using Web Services to Deliver Maps and Data and Chris Jenkins of INSTAAR on dbSEABED and Corewall: A Collaborative Electronic Corebench. Sri Vinayagamoorthy gave a talk on application of IGSN numbers to sample collections.
