Well logs and auxiliary information for 12 privately drilled test wells are available from the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) (now the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)). These data were generated by private companies operating exploratory oil and gas wells in areas for which the proprietary terms of the leases have terminated. The data were released to NGDC (now NCEI) by the Minerals Management Service (MMS) for public dissemination. A summary of the types of well logs and auxiliary information now available for these wells is given below.
