ROCK = METAGRAYWACKE
       GRAY,SOURCE IS IR*

Groundmass - QUARTZ
             SHOWS SOME EVIDENCE OF BEING FLATTENED,MOST GRAINS
             NOT PARTICULARLY ELONGATED,A SET OF SCHISTOSITY IS
             DISTINGUISHED BY THE PREFERRED ORIENTATION OF FLAT
             QUARTZ GRAINS AND BY THE BANDS OF SERICITIC MATRIX
             AROUND SUCH GRAINS,A MICROSHEAR ZONE INCLINED TO
             THIS SCHISTOSITY IS MARKED BY AGGREGATES OF FINELY
             PULVERIZED QUARTZ;

             FELDSPAR

             MAGNETITE

             MUSCOVITE
             Morphology: FLAKES
             COMMON;
             MAX.GRAIN SIZE IS APPROX .8MM,SORTING IS VERY
             POOR,REXTLLIZED CHERT GRAINS HAVE BEEN STREAKED
             OUT AS LENTICLES*

Alteration - SERICITE
             Location: MATRIX

             CHLORITE
             Location: MATRIX
