Core Data from the Ocean Drilling Program legs 101-129

(ODP 2001 CD-ROM)

The original 1992 ODP version 1.0 CD-ROM set was produced by NGDC/WDC for MGG, Boulder, in cooperation with, and with support from the U.S. Science Support Program, Joint Oceanographic Institutions, Inc. through a contract from the U.S. National Science Foundation. The version 1.0 CD-ROM set included access software which is now outdated. This ODP 2001 CD-ROM set with an HTML interface replaces the older set. Underway geophysical data from the older set are now available from NGDC as part of another CD-ROM series offering trackline geophysical data from multiple sources. Additional data from Legs 101-129, including gamma ray attenuation porosity evaluation data, and data from Legs 130 to present are available directly from the ODP. Downhole logging data are also available from ODP or NGDC.

Locations for holes 709B and 795A have been modified from the original CD-ROM set for this version, using information provided by the ODP. All other locations are from the original site summary data file provided with the data when originally transferred to NGDC. Locations may vary slightly between the site summary database, the Initial Reports, and other operations figures.

For example, site locations were derived from the site summary file as transferred to NGDC and may not match either locations in the Initial Reports or currently posted data at IODP.
