GPS database at the National Geophysical Data Center

The Africa GPS network will be housed at the NGDC. Below is a diagram of the data ingest and dissemination process that is under development. Data will be retrieved from the various data proveders, processed in community standard Rinex files, and will be made available to users through NGDC web services. NGDC will archive the data in our ADIC tape library.

Data Dissemination

Data delivery will be through the Space Physics Interactive Data Resource (SPIDR) and the NGDC secure FTP services. SPIDR, having a long history of providing data web services along with numerous visualization options for the Space Physics community will be the portal for general users. Power users, who consist of real time users and data providers will be able to access the data using SFTP protocol. Below are examples of the SPIDR interface and the NGDC SFTP delivery services.
